Our Rockin’ Ship- Norwegian Aqua

Setting Sail on the Norwegian Aqua

Ahoy Lions fan!  Have you heard about the Norwegian Aqua? It’s such an exciting new ship with an amazing story behind it!

The Aqua was built by Fincantieri – they’re these legendary Italian shipbuilders who really know their stuff. They took what everyone already loved about the Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva (which have been winning all kinds of awards) and said, “Let’s make it even better!”

The result? Our home for a week, a stunning vessel that’s 10% bigger with more room for everyone AND more outdoor space to enjoy. What’s really impressive is they’ve gone all out on staffing – more crew members per passenger than any other new cruise ship in its class. That means better service and less waiting around!

Now, let’s talk about those outdoor spaces because they’re absolutely rockin’! Imagine this: you’re lounging on a spacious day bed right on the main pool deck, something NCL has never offered before. The sun is warming your skin, there’s a gentle breeze, and you’ve got your favorite drink in hand. Pure bliss, right?

The infinity edge pool is seriously jaw-dropping. They’ve added more seating around it, and when you’re in that pool, it creates this magical illusion that you’re just floating directly on the ocean. It’s one of those experiences that photos can’t quite capture!

Drinks, Anyone?

The bar scene is looking great too! They’ve added a Whiskey Bar and the Metropolitan Bar is serving those award-winning sustainable cocktails. The Local sports bar is even bigger now, and Haven guests get a fancy new wine bar called Swirl.

More Space to Lounge

You guys will love this – the pool deck is almost 100 feet larger with 50% more loungers than on Prima! The infinity edge pool has the first day beds in the fleet, and the adults-only Vibe Beach Club is 40% bigger!

If you’re looking for some adult time, the Vibe Beach Club has been expanded too. They’ve made it bigger with even more places to sit and relax. It’s the perfect spot to sip on a fancy cocktail while soaking up some sunshine. Fair warning though – once you settle in there, you might not want to explore the rest of the ship! It’s that comfortable!

What part of the ship would you be most excited to check out first? The infinity pool would definitely be my first stop!

NCL outdid themselves with the widest selection of accommodations ever created. Dining That’ll Make Your Mouth Water

The Aqua has some incredible new restaurants we need to try! There’s Sukhothai for amazing Thai food, and for our veggie lovers, The Planterie in the expanded Indulge Food Hall looks fantastic.

Good news for steakhouse fans – Cagney’s has moved up to Deck 7 right next to the Metropolitan Bar. Le Bistro (that fancy French place) is now on Deck 7 aft with more seating. Don’t worry, Onda by Scarpetta is still there for our Italian food cravings!

Oh, and get this – the Aqua has the BIGGEST Teppanyaki restaurant at sea with nine cooking stations! That’ll be a fun group dinner for sure.

Entertainment That’ll Blow Your Mind

Are you ready for this? The Aqua has the FIRST-EVER hybrid roller coaster and waterslide! The Aqua Slidecoaster has magnetic lifts that shoot you through courses up to three stories high around the funnel at 31 mph!

Games and Relaxation

They’ve added a new Aqua Game Zone with virtual reality experiences like Space Racing and Beat Hero, plus classic arcade games. There’s an interactive dart bar, and the mini-golf course is themed around “Wonders of the World” with 12 holes across two decks. They even added a pickleball court!

For our spa lovers and loverett’s, the Mandara Spa has a two-story indoor waterfall, marble staircase, and twice as many heated loungers. There’s a new clay sauna, IV therapy treatments, and all the usual thermal experiences.

Can’t wait to experience all this with you Asmaniacs! Which part are you most excited about?
