Our home for a week, the Norwegian Aqua, is NCL’s newest ship, launched in April 2025. It’s generating a lot of excitement as their first “Prima Plus” class vessel – essentially a bigger, enhanced version of their popular Prima class ships.
At 156,300 gross tons with capacity for 3,571 passengers, it’s roughly 10% larger than its Prima siblings. What’s particularly impressive is how they’re using that extra space – they’ve expanded the outdoor areas and significantly increased their staff numbers beyond what you’d typically see on new cruise ships in this category.
This focus on more outdoor space and a higher crew-to-passenger ratio suggests Norwegian is really prioritizing guest experience with this new flagship.
Our Bermuda adventure begins at the home of our Jets, New York, New York on Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian’s newest ship!, Asmanics, we’ll get to paradise as we dock at Royal Naval Dockyard, giving us the freedom to explore the beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shops and historic monuments at your leisure.
Make it a beach day on beautiful Horseshoe Bay, or grab a snorkel and dive into an underwater world. Come back aboard and get a massage, enjoy a four course meal, drop by the casino, eat late and dance all night.
